PDQ LOGISTICS®
Proven

provides customer savings on order shipments. Additional
logistics services are offered and customized to meet
our customer needs. Transportation
Management USCS transportation management
provides professional expertise to help manage our customers'
transportation needs. Our Customized
Transportation Management System (TMS) enables USCS to build
efficient pools, route deliveries, and perform
a variety of specialized transportation functions. This
software interfaces with the USCS mainframe computers
to access customer order information which can then
be translated into the appropriate shipping pools for
scheduling outbound shipments. Shipping/Delivery
Schedules Regularly scheduled PDQ shipments
to various regions on specific shipping and delivery
days each week for consistent service. Local
Shuttles Customized shuttle programs available
for local production or customer delivery.
Carrier Invoicing/Carrier Payment
TMS is used to rate and bill each pool that is arranged by USCS.
Advanced accounting functions such as electronic customer invoicing and
auto payment to carriers is also available through our system.
Order Tracking
Available through eUSCOLD® online services, orders shipped
through the PDQ program are monitored throughout the
order, shipment and delivery process including order
delivery confirmation. Approved refrigerated carriers
are working online in conjunction with USCS to update
the status of shipments which are continuously monitored.
Reporting
Order history such as weight, cube, freight lane, cost etc is stored in
TMS and can be extracted to create a variety of reports for our customers.
Our customers rely on these reports for forecasting and performance analysis.
Transportation Studies
USCS offers extensive supply chain analysis to existing and potential customers.
A customized logistics network modeling program is used to optimize customer orders
and determine the least cost transportation strategy, taking into account real world
factors such as delivery timing, carrier rates, mileage, and production facility location.
This model will recommend the best logistics network in terms of efficiency and product
movement. |
