Transportation Management
USCS transportation management provides professional expertise to help manage our customers' transportation needs. Our Customized Transportation Management System (TMS) enables USCS to build efficient pools, route deliveries, and perform a variety of specialized transportation functions. This software interfaces with the USCS mainframe computers to access customer order information which can then be translated into the appropriate shipping pools for scheduling outbound shipments.

Shipping/Delivery Schedules
Regularly scheduled PDQ shipments to various regions on specific shipping and delivery days each week for consistent service.

Local Shuttles
Customized shuttle programs available for local production or customer delivery.

Carrier Invoicing/Carrier Payment
TMS is used to rate and bill each pool that is arranged by USCS. Advanced accounting functions such as electronic customer invoicing and auto payment to carriers is also available through our system.

Order Tracking
Available through eUSCOLD® online services, orders shipped through the PDQ program are monitored throughout the order, shipment and delivery process including order delivery confirmation. Approved refrigerated carriers are working online in conjunction with USCS to update the status of shipments which are continuously monitored.

Reporting
Order history such as weight, cube, freight lane, cost etc is stored in TMS and can be extracted to create a variety of reports for our customers. Our customers rely on these reports for forecasting and performance analysis.

Transportation Studies
USCS offers extensive supply chain analysis to existing and potential customers. A customized logistics network modeling program is used to optimize customer orders and determine the least cost transportation strategy, taking into account real world factors such as delivery timing, carrier rates, mileage, and production facility location. This model will recommend the best logistics network in terms of efficiency and product movement.
